WHY do you think the Morgan Motor Company has decided to relocate its main celebrations outside of Malvern?

Far from snubbing the town, it is simply doing what the minority of people in Malvern want.

The residents of the Wells area have been campaigning for years that the Three Counties Show-ground should stop hosting motoring events and the minority has won.

The Conservators refused point blank that a memorial to Peter Morgan should be erected on its land, opposite the old works in the Link.

Should anyone really be surprised that a venue away from the town has been chosen, I don't think so.

I am sure most event organisers will agree they would rather choose a location where they are made to feel welcome. If you're a motoring enthusiast, Malvern isn't the place!

Other motoring events have long since left Malvern, including the Kit Car Show and the American Extravaganza, to name but two.

Why should events relating to Malvern's heritage be any different?

Well done the nimbys!
