Leadon Bank parish poll on October 27 will cost each Ledbury Council Tax-payer about 50p each. That's all.
Another complaint against it is that planning permission has been approved, so why bother? Answer - because Herefordshire Council has failed to answer in detail the repeated large-scale protest by Ledbury residents and the town council.
We voters are always being criticised for not 'getting involved' with the democratic process. Now we have got involved, we are criticised or ignored. They cannot have it both ways!
The point of this poll is to send these people, who are meant to represent us, a message - listen to Ledbury and develop Ledbury sympathetically - the proposed Leadon Bank building is not.
Unless we stand together our individual voices are ignored by these politicians. Please make the effort for Ledbury by voting on October 27. Surely 50p each is money well spent if our representatives actually start to listen to us?
Steve Kerridge, Belle Orchard, Ledbury.
