A MOBILE phone mast could be erected off Pickersleigh Road in Malvern.
Hutchison 3G wants a mast behind the Bicknell garage at 262 Pickersleigh Road.
A planning application to the district council shows the mast beside the car storage compound at the back of the site. It would be 12 metres tall with three antennas and a transmission dish.
The nearest houses are in Shirley Close to the north-east and Sunrise to the west. Houses in Ashdown Close and Lansdowne Close would also be near it.
In its application, the company says: "The site has been carefully chosen so that views from surrounding properties are minimal, and so that it limits the impact on the street scene."
It says alternative sites at Harbinger Avenue, Mendip Close and the Pickersleigh Road/ Madresfield Road junction were looked at, but were unsuitable.
The Heart of Malvern Residents Association was due to consider the application at a meeting last night (Thursday).
Hutchison 3G was behind a proposed mast at Powick that was rejected by planners earlier this month.
