Entrepreneur Katie Harrison is helping to bring clean, safe water to developing countries.

Her 'Frank' bottled spring water is being sold to raise money for clean water projects in places like Africa and India.

Ms Harrison, formerly of Malvern, has set up a not-for-profit independent company to sell the Devonshire spring water, which is now available in Malvern.

The drink, which has an award-winning label, is on sale at the Malvern Hills Outdoor Centre, the tuck shop at Malvern College and the Bran Tub on Worcester Road. Other local stockists are being sought.

Ms Harrison, 26, who went to school at Hillstone and Lawnside, wanted to do something to help people in developing countries who do not have easy access to clean, safe drinking water.

"We wanted to help provide clean water for all and having seen the boom in sales of bottled water in the UK the idea for Frank was born," she said.

Ms Harrison launched Frank earlier this year with the help of a team of volunteers.

After a successful summer selling at festivals like Greenbelt in Cheltenham and the Big Chill in Ledbury, Frank is now stocked by numerous shops and cafes around Bristol and Bath.

Sold at festivals, Frank can give 60p in every £1 to water projects, while shops and cafes selling Frank donate 20p a bottle.

The company hopes to be able to fund their first clean water project in the village of Kothapeta, in India, early next year.
