JOHN Bickerton recaptured the form that helped him to his first career title in making a flying start to the Mallorca Classic.
The Droitwich Spa golf professional carded a three-under-par first round 67 yesterday to put himself firmly in contention at the top end of the leaderboard.
Bickerton won his first European Tour event at the Canaries Open earlier this month, but followed that up by missing the cut at last week's Madrid Open.
Meanwhile, Hereford's David Park is one shot behind Bickerton after his round of 68.
Park is also in good form, having finished on 13 under in the Spanish capital last weekend.
