ALLSORTS gained a point from their Malvern Table Tennis division three match with Crackpots B when Lizzie Gorton defeated Stan Ginn in three straight games and Alex Lindner also beat him, but only by 12-10 in the fifth game.
Ted Cates and Tim Snee each won three for the B team and Ted teamed up with Alan Forsdike to take the doubles but five of the sets went beyond three games.
Three sets went to a fourth game and another three to five games when X-Police met Maulers, so the match was tighter than the score of 7-3 suggests.
Alan Holmes and Steve Mulka each had one win for X-Police and Ralph partnered Steve to win the doubles. Don James won all his singles to keep his unbeaten record and Ray Davies and Bill Smith each won two games for Maulers.
Ian Sage, Collette James and Viv Tolley all won two singles for the Dynamos and the two ladies won the doubles when they played the Hop Pickers.
Nick Haggar won all his games for the visitors and although two young newcomers, Ben Whiteley and Sam Beale, battled hard, they were not able to win a game.
RESULTS: Manor Park Allsorts 2, Crackpots B 8; X-Police 3, Manor Park Maulers 7; Dukes Way Dynamos 3, Hop Pickers TT Club 7.
