LEDBURY darts ace Terry Jenkins continued his fine run of form in the lead up to the Skybet World Grand Prix with a 3-1 victory over Denis Ovens in the final of the Hotel Zwartewater in Holland at the weekend.
Jenkins, a former Bob Anderson Classic winner, beat Dutchman Jan van der Rassel in the semi's and young Adrian Lewis in the quarter-finals on route to victory.
Ovens saw off an in-form Darren Webster and Andy Jenkins, among others, on his way to the final.
This was Jenkins' fourth PDC title win and his second this year following his success in the spring at the Antwerp Open.
Jenkins said: "The toughest game was the quarter-final against Adrian Lewis, who had been playing brilliantly, so when I got past him with a 5-3 win, I always felt in control."
Jenkins has hit top form just in time for the World Grand Prix in Ireland and flies out today (Friday) to play in the Irish UK Open qualifier tomorrow (Saturday), followed by a Player's Championship on Sunday.
His first round game in the Grand Prix is on Tuesday evening at 6.40pm when he takes on seventh seed Kevin Painter.
Jenkins said: "I am playing well but it is all on the night, I have beaten Kevin the last two times we have met so I feel confident."
Still with his sights set on a world top ten ranking before the end of the year, Jenkins has now moved up to 15th place and is still collecting new ranking points rather then defending them, as players above him are doing.
