PARISH COUNCIL: Bench Seats - The chairman extended a vote of thanks to Mr Ron Miller and others who helped in securely fixing in place the bench seats supplied by the Jubilee Committee. The cost of fixing was £52.
BT Telephone Box - The clerk had contacted BT, which will clean up the telephone box on the corner of Cherry Orchard Road, but it will not be painted until 2006/2007.
Cllr Floyd again raised the matter of affordable housing. After discussion it was agreed not to continue at present but to raise the matter at the Parish Plan Review. The Christmas card and also a newsletter was put forward. Items of interest should be forwarded to Cllr Floyd.
Cllr C Martin wished to plant more bulbs around the corner of the playing field. There was no objection and there were funds available for this purpose.
County councillor Liz Tucker outlined her task of investigating the public transport system within the area.
District councillor M Argyle spoke on some of the contentious rules applied to the Standards Board and that some amendments would have to be made.
The date of the next meeting is November 3, 2005.
