POLICE investigating an assault in Kidderminster's Mirage nightclub have released an image of a man they want to trace.
On Wednesday, September 21, a 16-year-old boy had a glass pushed into his face and needed 25 stitches for three major cuts to his face.
The victim had been approached by a group of six or seven men and an argument followed, during which door staff intervened.
Fighting later broke out between that group and a second group. On seeing this, the victim hurried back to two female friends standing nearby and, as he did so, a man from the first group pushed a glass into his face.
The main offender was described as a black male, aged 25 to 26, 6ft ins with a bulky build. He was wearing a bright red tracksuit top with a green crocodile motif on the left breast and matching tracksuit bottoms. He might have been wearing a baseball cap.
A second man from the group, who was the first to approach the victim, was described as a black man, aged about 26, 5ft 11ins to 6ft tall with a medium to stocky build. His hair was described as being a number one all over with patterned circles on the left-hand side of his head round to the back. He was wearing a black top with dark grey patterns and black jeans.
Another man, who was reported to have thrown a drink over another person at the nightclub, was described as a black male, dressed all in black.
A fourth man, who was reported to have pulled a member of staff away when the argument broke out, was said to be a black man, aged 26 to 27, 6ft 2ins to 6ft 3ins tall, and of large build. He was described as having no hair and was wearing a light grey tracksuit top and bottoms.
