A BOY helping a friend mend a puncture on his bicycle tyre had his own bike stolen while he was doing his good deed.

The victim was with other youngsters at Kidderminster's Brinton Park basketball court at about 3.30pm on October 9.

He turned his back on his own cycle while he was carrying out the repair. When he turned around, the khaki Koni bike, worth £120, with black handlebars, had gone.

A police spokesman said: "This is the third cycle this boy has had stolen in less than two years and he and his family are upset. They are offering a reward for information."

Witnesses or anyone with information should contact police on 08457 444888.
