A POPULAR area of natural beauty in Worcester blighted by litter has received an environmental make-over.
Nunnery Wood, which is part of Worcester Woods Country Park, behind County Hall, off Spetchley Road, has about 400,000 visitors each year but some of those drop objects like crisp packets, drinks cans and empty bottles.
Volunteers took part in the Big Clean Up on Sunday, which was organised by ITV and also involved the environmental charity Duckworth Worcestershire Trust and the city and county councils.
The aim was to encourage people to get out and about and help keep their area clean and rubbish free.
The Worcester Woods Country Park is about 100 acres with 50 acres of that being Nunnery Wood.
