Womens Football: West Midlands Regional League
Copsewood LFC 9 - Studley WFC 1
IN a game overshadowed by the tragic death of player Eve Adams Studley visited Copsewood with key players missing, and started with a new 5-4-1 formation.
Copsewood came forward in numbers and soon established a comfortable lead going in 5-0 up at the break.
It was a more committed performance in the second half as Studley began to play for pride.
But with their defence left exposed time and time again, the hosts soon took control again. Studley managed a goal midway through the half, with an excellent free kick curled in by Sam Tayler.
Despite another assured performance from Referee's Player of the Match, Rosie Hughes, Studley were never in the game, and were fortunate only to lose 9-1.
