Droitwich 1st XI 1 Stone 1st XI 4
NEWLY promoted Droitwich continue to struggle in the Coaching Solutions West Midlands Premier Division as they suffered their second defeat on Saturday.
Spa are still waiting to earn a point after a difficult start to the season.
Despite taking the lead against Stone Droitwich found their opponents too-hot-to-handle.
Captain Paul Atkinson said: "The scoreline suggests it was a one sided game.
But that's not the case at all, it was just Stone took their chances and we didn't in the second half.
"They deserved to win, but there were a few positives in our performance."
Droitwich went into the game on the back of a 4-1 defeat to Solihull on October 8.
However, they made a blistering start when Atkinson scored in the opening minutes from a short corner.
But their rivals hit back with two goals to go 2-1 up into the second half.
Despite chances in the second period two more Stones goals saw off Droitwich.
Atkinson is hoping his side can turn their form around in the league when they go to in-form Walsall.
The Black Country team were promoted at the same time as Spa, but have enjoyed a contrasting start, winning both games and scoring nine goals.
Atkinson said: "Walsall have made a great start but we can still give them a game.
"We have to turn our form around sometime and hopefully we can do it at their place.
"All it would take is just one result to get our season off the ground. There's still a long way to go."
