Leckhampton Rvrs 0,
Evesham Utd U-12 4
AN EXCELLENT all-round team effort was only surpassed by the finishing in a league match against one of United's main rivals.
From the off, Evesham exerted pressure and had a number of near misses before a corner from tom Evans was met with a bullet header from Sam Ford.
Henry Woods made it 2-0 after running on to a well-flighted through ball from Andrew Powell. Goalkeeper Leon Ballard foiled a rare attack, but the action soon moved to the other end where Louis Brown's shot took a wicked deflection off a grounded James Bearcroft.
The second half saw pressure from Rovers, but the Evesham defence held firm and Ford completed the scoring with a clinical finish from Bearcroft's cross.
Peopleton U-12 2, Pershore 0
A WONDERFUL team display helped Peopleton overcome a very good opposition side in a game that produced chances at both ends.
Adam Loader's goalkeeping saved the hosts in the early stages before his attacking teammates found the net twice before half-time courtesy of George Hodgetts and Jake Bartlett.
There was little to choose between the teams for the remainder of the game with Peopleton resisting visiting pressure while also coming close to adding to their goal tally.
Drakes Broughton 1,
Badsey Rgrs U-10 7
RANGERS maintained their good run of form with a convincing victory on the road.
Matty Andrew set the trend with the opener after five minutes but poor finishing plagued a first half show and Drakes were allowed to draw level.
However, Andrew's fabulous solo strike made it 2-1 and, after more chances were wasted, Ryan Dixon's brace left Badsey in control with a three-goal half-time advantage.
Alex Jones made it 5-1 within a minute of the restart but Rangers were grateful to the efforts of goalkeeper and player of the match Joe Gisbourne for keeping Drakes at bay.
Newcomer Jacob Phipps fired in a fine sixth goal and Scott Southern rounded off the scoring a minute from time with a superb shot from inside his own half.
Harvington U-9 1, Badsey 5
CHARLIE Whiston scored a deserved consolation as Harvington battled gamely against well-organised and talented opponents.
Badsey would have won even more handsomely had it not been for the spirit shown by a home side in which Isaac Chislow was the star performer.
Northside Colts 5,
Evesham Utd U-12 B 2
UNITED'S unbeaten run came to an end against the league leaders who almost took the lead in the first attack of the match.
Dan Wilcox then sent close at the other end but it was Northside who broke the stalemate with two goals and two more followed to give United a huge mountain to climb after the interval.
Excellent midfield play from Scott Andrew, Sam Hitchman and player of the match Andrew Hay helped Eve-sham back into the game and goals from Josh Greaves and Angus Steele haled the deficit.
However, the table toppers responded with a fifth goal and only strong defending and good goalkeeping from Oliver Wilkes and Tom Bennett respectively kept the final scoreline down.
Badsey Rgrs U-8 16, Peopleton 0
A ONE-SIDED league contest saw a rampant Rangers side hit the goal trail with a vengeance.
It took the hosts a matter of seconds to find the net and that just opened the floodgates as plucky Peopleton found themselves overrun.
Nathan Bolland found the net four times, Ryan Attwood, Tom Benfield and Jordan Lymn all scored hat-tricks with the other goals coming from Robbie Wallace (2) and Aaron Jelfs.
