IN reply to Mr Ward's letter regarding the junction of Shrubbery Road/Worcester Road, Bromsgrove, Worcestershire highways were made known of this problem more than six years ago.

I have highlighted this at meetings with the council, too numerous to mention, and they finally conceded there was a problem and painted the yellow line.

This did nothing to alleviate the problems, as the lines don't extend far enough and the fact that you have inconsiderate motorists who continue to park on them makes them a total waste of time.

One Stop quite frequently has delivery lorries parked on the lines (I have even seen lorries parked on the pavement) to unload and whilst I appreciate that goods have to be unloaded, why can't these deliveries be arranged at times when traffic is low and there are no schoolchildren around, or better still use the car park at the back.

It is only a matter of time before there is a fatality here, and that will be one too many. Worcestershire Highways will act then, I suppose, but by then it will be too late for someone.

The fact that it is extremely difficult to turn right onto the Worcester Road due to limited visibility at peak times really must be looked into.
