Droitwich 12,

Evesham II 61pts

IN Saturday's hastily arra-nged match, Evesham started strongly and, following a well-executed back move, Pat Johnson scored in the corner, Phil Parsons converted.

Droitwich replied quickly with a converted try but this only pushed Evesham into a higher gear and, following a ten-metre line-out, man of the match Craig Brotherton crashed over the line.

Evesham continued to press and were soon rewarded with a try by Matt Jacques who then added two further scores after chasing up kicks from Roland Holt and Paul Turpitt.

Evesham turned around well in control and were soon rewarded with a second try by Johnson, following some good inter-play between Pat and Will Lloyd.

The next two tries were straight out of the top drawer. The first was scored by Stuart Stock following some fine forward play and inter-passing and the next was finished off by Henry Webb following a turn-over on the opposition 22.

The final try was also excellent as the backs ran the ball from their own 22 and, after a kick ahead, Simon Thwaites followed up to score.

Parsons converted to cap a fine display on an afternoon when he successfully landed six out of seven kicks at goal.
