MANY members of the town's business and sporting community who assisted a local cancer care charity - some of them by getting their kit off - gathered this week to mark the availability of a special calendar ... and this time they kept their kit on.
The occasion was the official Peeling off for Primrose calendar launch at the Bromsgrove Hilton Hotel.
Most of the people featuring in the hospice's saucy calendar were there to again show only their support this time, including representatives of Bromsgrove Rugby and Cricket clubs, Bromsgrove Rovers Football Club, Herefordshire and Worcestershire Ambulance service, Wyvern FM and the Royal Mail.
This time they kept their clothes on, which was just as well, as they needed to get their hands on their cash to purchase the eye-catching yellow and green calendar and its 12 dates with local flesh!
Guest of honour and speaker was Tricia Stewart, one of the orginal Calendar Girls, who is a member of the WI group in Yorkshire which began the run of saucy calendars for charity fundraising.
The Peeling off for Primrose calendar is now available from Primrose shops in Bromsgrove, Redditch, Rubery and Studley, with a suggested donation price of £3.50.
Lyn Winters of the Primrose Hospice, said they were already selling well. "We've had 3,000 printed and already we have sold 1,000," she added.
