Pershore III 21pts, Tenbury II 39
THE Tenbury pack took advantage of Pershore's slow start and scored a well-worked try within the opening minutes.
This then led to a sustained period of equal play with Tenbury continually trying to kick over the top and chase, however good cleaning up from the Pershore backs prevented them from getting anywhere near the try line.
Hard work from the Pershore pack paid dividends with their first try coming from a driving maul and finally being touched down by Andy Stuart and easily converted by Dave Snell.
The rest of the first half was then dominated by Pershore and a good run from vice-captain Pete Reynolds saw him score a second try under the posts leaving Snell with another easy conversion.
Tenbury picked up three points through a penalty kick to make it 14-8 at half-time.
They started the second half determined to go forward but good defending kept them at bay long enough to allow the Pershore backs to break free and score their third try of the day.
It was ten minutes before Tenbury had a response from a kick over and a lucky bounce allowing them to pull five points back to make it 21-13.
That was the signal for the hosts to make significant changes and bring on several players of a much higher standard that completely changed the flow of the game and the reshuffle brought about an amazing transformation and four tries in swift succession for a now rampant Tenbury outfit.
