ACTION in the D Division of the Cot-wold Floorball League saw a hectic night of action when six matches were played.
The division is made up mainly of B teams from schools who play in the higher divisions and it was CCS who went straight to the top, but not before a shock start as Bredon Hill took a 1-0 lead through Jasmine George.
A really unlucky own goal from a speculative cross by Grace Williams led to the equaliser and she went on to score a hat-trick. Ellie Broomfield finished the scoring in a 4-1 victory for the senior school.
Ilmington suffered at the hands of their former pupils as CCS went on a scoring spree. Williams added two goals, while Conall Davies scored two and Harry Pinfold four in an 8-0 win.
The host school only managed three goals but to no reply against Temple Guiting with Williams, Pinfold and a penalty from Davies doing the damage.
Temple Guiting made their claim for a play-off spot with 1-0 wins over Bredon Hill and Ilmington. James Mather was the scorer in both matches.
Bredon Hill and Ilmington shared the points in a 1-1 draw after Ilmington's James Williams had put in a late equaliser to Emily Craddock's opener.
Next action is in the A Division on Nove-mber 1 when Temple Guiting, Blockley, Stow and CCS are scheduled to be in action.
