OPENING action in Divi-sion One of the Evesham and District Table Tennis Association saw Littleton Aces race to the top of the league with superb wins over Benge-worth Red and Wyre Wan-derers.
Luke Moffat recorded three wins against the Red without losing a set, while both Ken Baker and Andrew Taylor won twice.
Bengeworth Purple recorded a decent 7-3 victory over Bengeworth Blue when both Doug Allan and Lynda Reid picked up three wins and won the doubles.
Bengeworth Red recovered to claim a deserved draw against the Purple when all of the games were pretty close with the best the clash between Geoff Collings and Richard McGhee that saw the former come out on top 13-11, 11-8, 10-12, 11-13, 13-11.
Wyre Wanderers saw off Kington Bulldogs 6-4 in another close match that saw three out of the ten matches go to five sets.
Wanderers made a bad start when Andrew Smith beat Chris Penny but soon took a 3-1 lead that soon became an unassailable 6-2.
Defending champions Wyre Elite made light work of Kington Bulldogs winning 8-2 with Darrell Wiltshire and defending men's champion Matt Hartwell both recording a trio of wins.
Last year's runners-up Bengeworth Tigers faced bottom side Littleton Borg with Grahame Brown easily winning his three games for the Tigers.
Borg's new signing Tristan Gretton grabbed a win over Bob Price, while teammate Paul Witts defeated both Price and Martin Brown.
The doubles went all the way to the fifth game but Grahame and Martin Brown saw off the challenge of Gretton and Witts to record a 7-3 success.
