JAMES Brown returned to action for Worcester last night as the 'A' side drew 16-16 with Leicester Tigers at Sixways.

The fly-half scored two penalties and a conversion after making his comeback from a knee problem that has kept him on the sidelines since the start of September.

But the hero of the hour was full-back Jamie Len-nard, who levelled the scores in the fifth minute of injury-time.

It had looked good for Tigers after they had stolen the lead through a Neil Cole try in the 72nd minute. The former Wor-cester scrum-half enjoyed a superb night.

Worcester were trailing 9-6 after Brown and Ross Bradfoot had traded penalties. Prop Steve Sparks then burrowed over from in the closing stages of the first half and Brown added the conversion.

Leicester went down to 14 men after Dan Montagu was sin-binned. But Tigers kept the pressure and Cole eventually squeezed over. Fly-half Ian Humphreys added the conversion.

Former Leicester player Steve Booth, currently on trial at Sixways, led the Worcester charge in the last few minutes and the visitors conceded the pen-alty from which Lennard grabbed the vital points.
