I AM sure that many shoppers and commuters walking or driving through heavy rain will have noticed that areas on the same roads notorious for flooding in the past were again submerged during last Wednesday's downpours.
It will be equally noticeable that in the coming years maintenance will still be wanting and those same roads will continue to flood because of the lack of action.
Because of the density of vehicles in Worcester, coupled with the appalling road system, ambiguity of lane markings, and continuity of traffic flow, flooded roads caused by lack of maintenance and inadequate drainage brought areas in around Worcester to a standstill once again.
I sincerely hope officials from whatever department is responsible for dealing with the continually flooded roads were severely inconvenienced when driving on their way home from work or doused by passing cars while walking, and will be again after the next downpour.
RICHARD W BROWN,
Malvern.
