LAUGHTER will be in the air in Worcester next week as a quartet of comedy acts visits the city to peddle their wares.
The Funny Moons Comedy Club is hosting its next comedy night at the Lunar Bar in Worcester's New Street on Wednesday, October 19, and the bill is set to be topped by the talented Muslim stand-up artist Shazia Mirza.
Shazia has received a clutch of awards for her excellent work, including the 2001 Hackney Empire Best New Act and she has also been appearing on various television and radio programmes.
She will be joined by Gloucester funnyman Nik Hill and Jim Smallman - a comic who is renowned for his one-liners.
Also appearing on the night is John Newton, who launched himself on the London comedy scene in January 2003 and is fast earning himself a reputation as a class act with his back-to-basics brand of comedy.
The compere for the evening will be Mahinder Suniara of the Funny Moons Comedy Club. Doors open at 8pm for an 8.45pm start.
Tickets are £5, (£4 for NUS cardholders) and can be reserved by e-mailing: funnymoons@gmail.com or ringing 07817 154 519.
