KIDDERMINSTER Harriers must get over their bottom-of-the-table phobia if they are to build on last weekend's morale-boosting victory tomorrow.
Harriers head to basement boys Aldershot knowing they have already come undone against Crawley Town and Tamworth over the last three weeks.
Both sides were propping up the Nationwide Conference at the time and boss Stuart Watkiss was frustrated, though delighted, to find his players turning over high-flying Morecambe 1-0 in their next match.
Watkiss admitted: "We've been disappointing twice against bottom-of-the-table clubs Crawley and Tamworth and we've got to make sure we learn from our mistakes.
"Aldershot are a team that have got into the play-offs for the last two years but they've suffered from an unbelievable injury crisis so far this season.
"As soon as they get players back, they'll climb the table, no doubt about it. We've just got to make sure that it doesn't start against us."
The manager's desire to stick with a winning team and 4-4-2 formation could be scuppered by an injury blow for left-sided midfielder Michael Blackwood.
Blackwood has suffered his fair share of niggles already this season and is a big doubt for the Recreation Ground clash with a hamstring problem.
However, veteran midfielder Martin O'Connor should play after helping lead Harriers to last weekend's win when Gareth Sheldon bagged a first-half winner.
Watkiss said: "I want to stick with the same side because the lads that faced Morecambe did so well in terms of the performance and the result.
"The only reason I would have to change it is if Michael can't make it. He's got a hamstring problem and he's not trained all week so at the moment he's probably 50/50."
Blackwood's absence would most probably mean a right-footed midfielder deployed on the left unless Steve Burton is handed only his second start of the season.
Striker Taiwo Atieno, on the bench for the Morecambe success, is struggling with a back injury so goal hero Sheldon and top scorer Iyseden Christie are set to keep their places in attack.
Aldershot are level on points with Tamworth at the bottom and could potentially climb six places if they win tomorrow, while Harriers aim to break into the top 10.
The Hampshire side's last home game ended in a 1-0 defeat to Hereford United but they had previously secured victories over York (2-1) and Crawley (3-2) as well as a 2-2 draw with Stevenage.
They only clinched a first win on their travels earlier this month, triumphing 2-1 at Burton Albion with top scorer Tim Sills and winger Nick Crittenden on target.
Recent loan signing Omari Coleman, captured from Lincoln City, is likely to start but two-goal Chris McPhee has returned to Brighton.
Former Wales left-back Darren Barnard, who played for Barnsley in the Premiership, is back from injury.
