EVESHAM United manager Dave Busst accepts the club needs money from cup runs -- although he would rather concentrate on the league.
The Robins kept a rare clean sheet on Tuesday as they drew 0-0 with Gloucester City at Common Road in the Southern League Premier Division and Busst felt they were more than worthy of a point.
He said: "We had the better chances and I felt we could have snatched all three points.
"I was pleased with the clean sheet. It was only our second of the season. We need to have a lot more shut-outs if we are to progress in the right direction."
But the chance to climb away from the relegation zone has to be put on hold as United host Solihull Borough, the team they replaced in the Premier Division, in the FA Trophy first qualifying round tomorrow (3pm).
Busst's side were without a game last weekend and only managed three league matches in September after being dumped out of the FA Cup by Tiverton Town in the first qualifying round.
The manager said: "The cups are nice but we want to get back on track in the league and out of the bottom four. But the cup games gives us chance to take our minds off things.
"Our priority at the moment is to get out of the bottom four but the club needs revenue from cup runs so we need to do that for the club."
Busst was in charge at Solihull from January 2000 until summer 2003 and believes they should be higher than 15th in Division One West.
He added: "The fact that it's a cup match means league positions go out of the window. They are a very good footballing side."
Stuart Hamilton (thigh) and Grant Pinkney (suspended) are both missing tomorrow, but full-back Neil O'Sullivan is back and midfielder Steve Duncan returns from a ban.
