ARDEN Sailing Club (Defford) entertained their friends from Wyre Mill on Sunday and there was a good turnout from both clubs.
The first race saw 15 starters and subsequently two retirements. After some jockeying for position Chris Coates from Wyre Mill was first followed by Nial Campbell and Jeremy Griffiths from Arden.
Race two again saw 15 starters after one of the ladies was persuaded to crew for Richard Drinkwater, and the Enterprise of Terry Street was repaired.
The race was won by Jeremy Griffiths with Nial Campbell second.
This time there were several who chose not to start and a retirement due to gear failure. The third race was the decider and saw a depleted fleet led home by Nial Campbell from Jeremy Griffiths.
The final position were first Nial Campbell and Jane Smee (Enterprise) Arden SC, second Jeremy and Michelle Griffiths (Enterprise) Arden SC, with third John Street (Enterprise) Wyre Mill SC, fourth place went to Chris Coats (Laser) Wyre Mill SC with a three way tie for fifth.
