ONE of the things that makes this such a great country to live in is the weather. Honestly, I mean it - we have such diverse weather in this country you just never know what's going to happen.
On Saturday at the rugby, I was soaked through. Sunday was a lovely autumn day - I was out on the bike, did a bit of gardening, drove round some of our lovelier parts and took a stroll round the water gardens.
And then came Wednesday - when we were building an ark out of old pallets to escape the great flood.
There's never a dull moment.
I will be doing some walking in the near future. A lot of walking, in fact.
We were talking about Children In Need the other week in the office, and half joking, I suggested I do some walks, one a day for five days, around the two shires.
Sadly, someone took me up on the idea, so I'm in training for the big slog next month.
I shall be walking from five different points across Herefordshire and Worcestershire back to our studios.
From Kidderminster, Bromsgrove and Evesham to Worcester, and from Ross-on-Wye and Leominster to Hereford.
Now, none of them are massive distances - well, not in my car they aren't, but it's the getting up the next day and doing it again that could be painful. Corn plasters and blister ointment are being purchased at the moment.
The idea is to get sponsorship either for individual walks or for the whole lot and, of course, all the money goes to Children In Need.
We do have a lot of charity appeals and, having seen the horror scenes in Pakistan and India this week, the people there need our help now.
However, Children In Need is something that has been going on for many years and raises a lot of money that comes back into our area.
If you would like to help, then ring 0845 300 8181, or log on to www.bbc.co.uk/worcester and all the details will be there.
I'll let you know more about it in this column as we get nearer the date. I just hope we don't get days like Wednesday when I'm walking the roads!
Leeds Tykes at Sixways tonight. A big game this one and we'll all be getting behind the Warrriors!
