IN his Seven Days' column of Saturday, October 1, John Phillpott asked if Mike Foster would pursue the proposed cathedral car park if Labour were running Worcester City Council.
First, generally speaking in our two-party political system, when one party is running the country from Westminster, the other party is usually in control of Worcester City.
Second, recently, Radio 4's Sunday Service was coming from All Saints Church. At the start of his homily, the celebrant enthused about the church's location by the River Severn, next to the Glover's Needle and the nearby cathedral.
I do not blame the poor reverend for keeping quiet about the other neighbouring hideous concrete edifice, namely Worcester College of Technology. Mr Mayor, please take note!
L SPITERI, Worcester.
