MALVERN RFC U14s, sponsored by Envex, recovered from their recent defeat at the hands of Thornbury with a convincing victory over Woodrush on Sunday.
WOODRUSH U14s 0, MALVERN U14s 52pts
Although the Malvern squad played exceptionally well, the victory was marred when Ben Shaw, one of Malvern's most promising fly-half's, was rushed to hospital in Redditch after suffering a double fracture of his left arm in the dying minutes of the match.
Ben was able to return home on Monday and is reported to be comfortable. It is expected that he will be out of action until January.
Phil Reeves was man-of-the-match with one try and six conversions. Dan Scully and Shaun White both scored on their debuts and Joe Harrison capped a commanding performance in the centre with two tries. Nick Goodrich burrowed over to score late in the game and other scoring contributions came from Richard Pyne and Will Turner.
