THE Anglo-French relationship is renowned for being a bit strained, but here in Worcester it has never been better.
The city's Sixth Form College invited Worcester Warriors rugby players Thomas Lombard and Nicolas le Roux to take part in an A-Level French class.
A winning try was
scored by all and now the college hopes the two foreign players will be a regular fixture.
Head of languages Peter Corbishley said: "The two players were interviewed in our A-Level class and took part in group discussions.
"They seemed to enjoy the experience and the pupils were delighted to be able to try out their skills on some French nationals.
"It was just nice to be able to show them that some English folk are learning French and at a high level.
"We hope that their visits to the college will be regular ones and we can build a good relationship with them."
Thomas and Nicolas have helped get the Warriors off to a flying start this season.
Worcester are lying fifth in the Premiership table, with a home fixture against struggling Leeds tonight.
