I READ with interest the proposal to create a mini roundabout at the Habberley Road-Kidderminster Road junction in Bewdley to alleviate a queuing problem which I never encountered myself when I was travelling by this route on a daily basis since the junction was modified.
Perhaps residents should cast their minds back to the days when traffic was regularly tailed back to the Habberley Valley entrance, a problem which could recur with the introduction of a roundabout as the dominant traffic is on Kidderminster Road.
And if residents think it is difficult getting off their drives into stationary traffic, they should try living on my road where despite £100,000 being spent allegedly to reduce speed and increase safety, vehicles still travel at speeds exceeding 50mph on a regular basis.
