DANGEROUS wood chippings which have been placed at a children's play area in Offenham will be reconsidered by councillors next month.
As reported in the Evesham Journal recently, angry parents boycotted the play area after it was recently refurbished with wood chippings that were described by one mother as, 'sharp and dangerous to children'.
Parish councillors who ordered the refurbishment were to reconsider their decision last week but decided to discuss the matter at the next parish meeting.
"The next Offenham parish meeting will be held on Monday, November 7.
Chairman of the Offenham parish council, Grenville Burrows said: "We have decided to make a decision about the wood chipping at the next parish meeting for confidential reasons I can't tell you why but the matter will be discussed at the next monthly meeting."
Many mothers, who attend the play group at the Offenham village hall, have decided to keep away from the area until a decision has been made about the wood chippings - that they will be removed.
