FERNDALE Under-12s were in gr-EIGHT form in the Mercian Youth League Cup when they hammered Hereford Phoenix 8-0. Mel Lawley hit five goals with Ellie Richardson notching a double and Fran Short completing the scoring.

There was also victory for the U-14 Youth who recorded a 5-2 league win at Bredon Colts.

Nicole Mathews bagged a brace with the other goals coming from Rebecca Jones, Rebecca Wright and an own goal.

Ferndale U-14 Flyers romped to the top of the table with a convincing 11-0 homw win over newly-formed Bromsgrove Town.

Player of the match Cat Wassell scored four with a hat-trick from Chelsea Mudge and braces for Jess Richards and Taima Bain.

But there was defeat for Ferndale U10's who lost 3 - 0 to Burlish Olympic Angels.

Stourport Youth League

Areley Kings Youth Under-12s hammered Ferndale Youth 8-3 on Saturday in their Stourport and District Youth League encounter.

The same age group also saw an 8-3 win for Kidderminster Athletic at Droitwich Dynamos.

Kidderminster Lions Cubs U-11s won a Wyre Forest derby against Rock 7-1, and an all-Kidderminster U-8s clash saw Lions beat Athletic 5-0.

James Smith was a hat-trick hero as Ferndale Flyers U-9s won 4-2 at Nunnery Sports, with Ben Priest also on target.
