STAFF at Wychavon District Council have been keeping their eyes on their colleagues for all the right reasons.
As part of the National Customer Services Week, staff at the council's two customer contact centres and at Pershore's One-Stop Shop have been nominating their peers for awards recognising excellent customer service standards.
The Customer Service Star awards were presented by managing director Jack Hegarty, with winners receiving a silver star paperweight and a bottle of wine.
Cath Clarke, based in Pershore, won the award for customer service adviser of the year.
Amanda de Warr, democratic services manager, who organised the awards, said: "Cath was a clear winner because of her caring nature."
The second star award category was for outstanding customer service elsewhere in the council.
This went to Tim Evans from the revenues department, as he "goes the extra mile" to help customers.
