CLEOBURY Mortimer U-13s' 17-7 defeat at Oswestry could not dampen the club's excitement at finally re-establishing a junior section.
Former first XV coach Nick Jones has taken charge of the team and was pleased with their creditable performance in their first game.
Ben Howman, son of Cleobury second row Pete, scored a try with Tom Redfern converting.
Chaddesley Corbett under-16s edged a close match against Bredon Buzzards to win 7-0 with Steve Smith crossing and Rob Burton adding the extras.
