MATTHEW Barnes-Homer swooped for the winner as Bromsgrove Rovers bagged an impressive 1-0 win at Taunton Town last night in Southern League Division One West.
The forward struck on 61 minutes to move Rovers up into 10th position and level on points with the Somerset side.
Jimmy Mullen's men continued their impressive form with a good display at Wordsworth Drive in front of 138 fans.
Their goal arrived from a fine flowing move involving influential midfielder Wayne Dyer and striker Mark Danks, who had a first-half effort disallowed for offside.
Goalkeeper Tim Clarke pulled off a good late save from a free-kick as Rovers deservedly claimed all three points in poor conditions. It was further good news for Rovers, who have booked an FA Cup fourth qualifying round date with Morecambe later this month.
Taunton were playing their first game under caretaker manager Jason Heath after Peter Beadle's shock resignation to take over at Newport County.
