PARISH councillors were asked to look at the increase in housing developments taking place in Bidford.

Jill Houghton addressed the council at a monthly meeting in Bidford asking them to consider the amount of construction work being undertaken in the village and the cost of houses in the area.

Mrs Houghton, spoke to councillors at the public forum raising concerns over the amount of 'infilling' in every area of Bidford.

"I would ask the parish to look at the amount of infilling that is taking place in every area of the village.

"The Friday Furlong construction is creating extra buildings in the area and some of the developments that have been built are totally out of sync with the rest of Bidford.

"There seems to be infilling on every piece of land. The village will be a complete block of buildings."

Mrs Houghton also expressed concerns about the new houses costing too much in the area.

Chairman Joy Keeley said: "We cannot do anything but voice our concerns to Stratford District Council. We do not make the final decisions about planning applications but all your concerns will be put to the board at Stratford."
