RYAN Dixon scored twice as Rangers recorded a comfortable win against well organised opponents.

Dixon went close to breaking the deadlock before firing in a superb left-footer from 18 yards.

The Ilmington goalkeeper denied both Dixon and Matty Andrew to ensure only one goal separated the sides at half-time after which Andrew doubled Badsey's lead after Dixon's effort had been blocked.

Rangers were now well on top and a superb goal from player of the match Scott Southern sealed the win before it was left to Dixon to have the final say and round off a fine team display.

UNITED ended up convincing winners after a tough rest against resilient opposition.

Leon Napper opened the scoring and it was 2-0 when Matthew Abbott finished off a fine passing move.

Player of the match Abbott sealed victory but only after the defensive efforts of Jack Carter, Sam Hilton and Liam Williamson had withstood some prolonged Tigers attacking.

PLAYER of the match Martin Nigh-tingale scored the opener but it was namesake Jake and Martin Tomes who dominated the midfield.

Lee Brooks doubled Evesham's lead before Tomes ensured maximum points before an Oldbury consolation.

RHYS Giles produced a no nonsense display at the back to help United keep a clean sheet.

A HAT-TRICK from Charlie Banning rescued Evesham who had trailed 4-1 in Saturday's Ambass-ador Friendly League contest.

The treble topper scored first but Droitwich scored three times to take a comfortable lead into the second period.

Things got worse for Evesham when Spa netted a fourth but player of the match Lee Bowles gave his side hope when he made it 4-2 before Banning found the net twice to earn his a draw.

BOTH goalkeepers were in fine form but it was United who spurned the best of the chances in a fiercely competitive contest.

Tom Evans and Elliot Grady combined as Henry Woods to finally broke the deadlock and the scorer then made it 2-0 thanks to the wing trickery of Colin Philpott.

The latter teamed up with James Coldrick and Owen Jones at the opposite end to repel Pershore thrusts, while Leon Ballard produced a fine tip over to keep out another effort.

The win was sealed as the final whistle approached when Grady was left with a tap-in after a move involving Woods, Evans and Harrison Cother.

STIFF resistance failed to prevent a plucky Evesham side from suffering a heavy defeat.

Matthew Jacobs and Jessica Dodsworth epitomised the spirit that restricted Peopleton to just two first half goals.

Three more after the break killed the game off before player of the match Charlie Green grabbed a late consolation.

Harvington U-10 3, Alcester 2000 1

HARVINGTON fell behind early on but battled back gamely to record a victory.

Kieran Barrett levelled before half-time after which goalkeeper George Chadwick produced a series of fine stops to keep his side in the match.

His efforts were rewarded when Andrew Whitlow latched on to Robyn Arnold's through pass and the win was completed two minutes from time when Whitlow netted his second to seal his side's first win of the season.

JOSH Massey scored a consolation as the hosts were outplayed.

Broadway were a well organised outfit and, had it not been for some spirited defending, their margin of victory would have been even greater.
