ALCESTER u16s entertained Woodrush but it was the visitors who took the honours 29-0.
Woodrush held the downhill advantage in the first half and were soon on the offensive.
Alcester held out for 15 minutes until a scrum near their try line led to the visitors opening the score.
They continued to pressure and soon the backs broke through only to be denied by an excellent tackle by full-back Jim Watson.
Moments later, a line-out was lost by Alcester and Woodrush employed a good rolling maul to score on Alcester's right to hand them a 19-0 interval lead.
Alcester managed to stem the flow in the second half, only conceding two tries.
The forwards played well, sticking to their game plan and the match was a good learning curve for the team.
Man of the match for the home side was Watson who limped off with a knee injury. Other good performances came from Ed Hartley and Declan Larcombe.
