RIDER Matt Llewellyn was involved in a high-speed drama as Redditch-based Magnum Buildbase Motorsport looked to finish their season in style at Brands Hatch.
Llewellyn crashed at more than 100 mph during Friday's practice session and ended up careering into the barrier, dislocating both hips and three vertibrae in the process.
"He insisted on trying to qualify on the Saturday so we had to lift him on and off the bike," team manager Dave Worthington explained.
"He managed the fourth row of the grid but he looked ill afterwards and was in no fit state to ride so we pulled out of the race."
The team are now working towards the new season and hope to announce their line-up of riders later this month. Bui Worthington confirmed they will be competing in both the British Supersport and Superstock series.
