THE owner of a Redditch gymnasium and his family will be appearing in an explosive episode of Channel 4's hit television show Wife Swap.

Simon Lloyd, who runs Life of Leisure in Alcester Street, will be featured on the award-winning documentary, along with wife Sue and children Rebecca and Jamie.

Mrs Lloyd, 41 will be trading places with Bea Liversley, a single mum from Manchester who stays at home to bring up her four children - Cameron, Chelsa, Hannah and Charlotte.

Each of the mums will spend 10 days living with the other's family, abiding by their rules for the first week before allotting new rules for the rest of the time.

The two families live very differently. Miss Liversley treats her children as her friends and the household is chaotic with no routine whatsoever.

However, Mrs Lloyd runs a much tighter ship. She believes in good behaviour and routine, and her children are required to say please and thank you at all times.

Mrs Lloyd also runs her own e-mail business from their Sutton Coldfield home and still finds time to cook all the family meals and iron every item of clothes, including underpants.

Mr Lloyd, 41, who also runs a branch of the gym in Worcester, said: "It should make very exciting viewing!"

He added: "It was a very valuable experience and we all really enjoyed it."

The show will be screened on October 24.
