THREE talented teenage pupils from Kingsley College have proved they can hit all the right notes and are orchestrating hugely successful futures for themselves.
Daniel Allen, 15.
Jo Lucas, 13, a violinist, auditioned with musicians from across the Midlands and secured herself a place with the elite CBSO Youth Orchestra.
This will give her the chance to be part of an internationally famous orchestral organisation, playing challenging music in prestigious venues with top professional conductors.
Jo, who has just passed her Grade 7 violin exam with distinction, is taught at Kingsley by Heidi Nixon through the Worcestershire Instrumental Music Service.
Martin Bullimore, 16, who plays for Redditch rock band The Cadence, has won himself a place in the final of the National Guitar Heroes competition.
He will be performing to a panel of judges at the Hard Rock Caf in Birmingham on October 27.
Martin and The Cadence have also achieved success after recently winning the Midlands heat of the Battle of the Bands.
The band, which features past and present Kingsley pupils, will compete in the finals at the Mean Fiddler, London, on November 15.
A third pupil excelling in his field is trumpeter Daniel Allen, 15, a member of Arrow Valley Brass.
The band recently took a well deserved second place in the 2005 British Band Championships under the musical direction of David Stanley and conducted by Andy Culshaw.
