A REDDITCH biker is celebrating completion of a gruelling ride around Britain's coastline in aid of his daughter's school.
Nigel Beard, 43, has spoken to the Advertiser about his experience of the Nick Sanders Coast of Britain Moto Challenge, which took place earlier this month.
The challenge saw Mr Beard (pictured below) travel on his Yamaha R1 from Redditch to Lands End, then up to John O' Groats via Britain's rugged coastline, before returning home on October 4.
"It was very hard work but I did enjoy it," said the dad-of-four.
"Some of the other bikers found it such hard work they were forced to drop out."
The charity challenge raised almost £700 for Roman Way First School, which is attended by his five-year-old daughter Siana.
Mr Beard's family threw a welcome home party when he returned to his Matchborough home.
"I would like to say a big 'thank you' to all my supporters, especially my wife Sharon, who has been brilliant," he added.
