A NEW development which will help Trinity High School become a centre of enterprising excellence has been opened.
Redditch MP Jacqui Smith, Minister of State for Education, recently opened the extensive new project at the Easemore Road school, which became a specialist business and enterprise college last year.
It has now developed a business centre which houses conferencing facilities with state-of-the-art IT equipment.
The centre will not only be used by students but by the school's business and community partners.
The new fitness suite, boasting the latest cardio-vascular and resistance equipment, was also launched and will be fully operational for students and community use.
A technology block comprising three workshops, which house a range of highly sophisticated machinery and computer technology, five classrooms and display areas was also declared open by the minister on September 30.
This block, which cost £2.2 million, is one of the most advanced in the country.
Ms Smith said: "These are wonderful additions to the school and provide both the students and members of the community with some of the best facilities possible.
"The school can be very proud of its achievement."
