SIMON Andrews brought his TAS Suzuki home in ninth place at last Sunday's 2005 Metabo British Supersport campaign at Brands Hatch.
The Wickhamford-based rider finished in a solid fifth place in only his third race since returning from an arm injury that all but destroyed his championship aspirations for another year.
"Obviously ninth is not where I needed to be and I have a bit of thinking to do over the winter," a philosophical Andrews admitted at the weekend.
"I have enjoyed working with TAS Suzuki and riding the Supersport Series even though I have struggled a bit this season. Today, I just wanted to finish and bring the bike home as high up as possible with no heroics."
Team manager Philip Neill added: "Simon has had a below par year by his standards but his earlier result at Cadwell proved that he is more than capable. It's now up to him to build on that."
