PROFESSIONAL Anglers Association qualified coach Neil Sarkar is running a week of fishing events throughout the Christmas holidays.

Courses are planned to cover everything from the sheer beginner to the experienced angler looking to learn how to fish for specimen pike, carp and zander.

The events start on Monday, December 22, and run throughout the holiday period.

Neil said: "Many local kids will have fishing tackle for Christmas presents and may not know anybody who can show them the ropes. I am a qualified angling coach having been trained to teach angling at all levels.

"The courses I have planned for the Christmas period will cover everything from the basic beginner to specialist big fish angling. They would also make a great alternative Christmas present for any young angler.

"Places are strictly limited to enable me to provide the best possible attention to all participants so early booking is absolutely essential."

Neil also runs Team Hooked, a junior fishing club held at Hucks Farm Fishery, at Wichenford, each Saturday and new members are always welcome.

Neil said: "Team Hooked began in September 2003 and has been a great success, it has a good number of members of all abilities who attend every week increasing their skills all the time. Raw beginners are more than welcome."
