EVESHAM United manager Dave Busst is calling on his team to put a run of results together as he prepares for tonight's local derby with Gloucester City (7.45).

The Robins are yet to record back-to-back wins since promotion to the Southern League Premier Division.

They have only managed two victories from 10 games and currently sit third-from-bottom in the table, one point behind tonight's visitors.

Busst's side were without a game at the weekend and are itching to right the 2-1 reverse at Kings Lynn on October 1.

That means three points against Gloucester, who beat basement side Northwood 4-1 on Saturday, are needed.

The manager said: "We were disappointed after we went down to King's Lynn and we have had to wait a long time to correct that performance.

"It will be a battle against Gloucester. They had a good win on Saturday.

"We haven't put two results together all season and we have to soon otherwise a gap opens up from the bottom six.

"Hopefully, we will get a decent crowd down at Common Road."

Although Busst is largely pleased with the way his players have adapted to the step-up, he concedes himself and the coaching staff are keeping their eyes open.

"We need to push on a little bit now," he added. "We don't want to get into this rut. The lads know that or we will be bringing others in. They know we are not going to just sit back and accept it.

"On the whole, I think we have played quite well. We deserved something out of the games but we get punished for our mistakes and are not putting our chances away.

"We have got a run of five games now when we are playing teams in and around us and it would be nice if we could string a few results together."
