WHEN pop star Robbie Williams put out feelers for an unusual design for his new single, a Ledbury company was instantly on the case.
The Case Company, of Lower Eggleton, asked the sex symbol to let them entertain him by creating an eye-catching case in which the celebrity could present his new single, Tripping, to BBC Radio 1 Breakfast DJ, Chris Moyles.
The firm provided a brushed aluminium, engraved case, holding the new disc.
Robbie's management was so impressed by the funky vinyl CD case, they ordered a second, this time to showcase the star's new album, Intensive Care, to present to BBC Radio 2 DJ Chris Evans.
Julie Nicholas, managing director of The Case Company, said: "We pride ourselves on delivering something different special."
Gerard Gull, project manager at Roche Media & Design, who commissioned the cases, said: "We were very impressed at how quickly and efficiently The Case Company fulfilled this brief."
"Robbie Williams is a high profile artist and his new single is eagerly anticipated by the industry and fans alike.
"Promotional singles are usually in cardboard sleeves, which are not particularly exciting. We wanted something extra special and different.
"The casing sourced was funky and modern, reflecting the singer's image and also doubles up as artist memorabilia. We found the perfect solution through The Case Company."
