SWEDISH sex siren Britt Ekland fell in love with Worcester at first sight - and is confident that its residents will do the same with her.
The ex-Bond girl had only been in the Faithful City for an hour before doing a press call to promote this year's pantomime at the Swan Theatre, but she was overwhelmed by what she had seen.
The 62-year-old, who will be playing the Fairy Kindheart in Jack and the Beanstalk, said: "From what I have seen it is a cute town, so pretty. The view from the theatre of the racecourse is stunning.
"For me, doing a pantomime is all about the town you are in and the prettier it is the better.
"I am looking forward to spending time here when I am on stage - I am going to look at places to stay."
And in the short time she had been here, she wasn't short of offers - a passing male motorist wound down his window and invited her in for a coffee, which she politely refused.
Having such a big name in the city is a major coup. and Huntingdon Arts director Chris Jaeger said he was looking forward to a "very busy panto season."
But did Ms Ekland, who has starred with Roger Moore, Michael Caine, Peter Sellers (to whom she was married) and Yul Brynner, feel uncomfortable being the only 'big name.'
"Why should I," she added. "I have acted with celebrities in film and on stage, but I think they do a very good job here in Worcester and I hope I can add something to that.
"Doing pantomime wasn't something I aspired to when I was in my 30s, but it is a natural progression and I am very happy to be doing it here in Worcester."
Jack And The Beanstalk runs from Wednesday, December 7 until Wednesday, December 28.
