Congratulations to all those who worked so hard to raise funds for the CLIC charity and the TG's project.

However, I was saddened to see the publicity given to such inaccuracies in the letters of September 30.

Priory Park is used by many folk of all ages, whenever the weather is dry on weekdays; while on summer Sundays the 'Bands in the Park', are also very popular.

Since rules are seldom enforced, cycling and skateboarding are often favoured by the young, while football, cricket and other ball games are enjoyed at all times.

To suggest that the Park needs 'opening up' is just ludicrous; as is the assertion that our theatre or Priory Road residents regard it as their own 'back garden'.

The claim that the "amplifier rigs...were simply not powerful enough to blare or boom"; and the statement that the music "did not carry over the general town centre noise", conflicts with the experience of scores of local residents, from before lunch until 11pm; involving at least one person having to be rescued by relations and taken to Worcester for the rest of the day.
